30 Products in 30 Days
Productober
Self Project | 2023
Last year, I discovered Productober, a design challenge where participants sketch a product idea every day in October. Unfortunately, I was too late to join in.

This year, I took it up a notch by not just sketching but also creating 3D CAD models and rendering each submission for Productober 2023.
This challenge had its own set of challenges. Typically, I'd research, refine, and perfect designs. But Productober's daily posting demands changed my approach. With a client projects being worked on in the day, I had limited CAD time in the evening, followed by rendering overnight. I'd wake up early to edit and post.
Thinking ahead was essential. I needed to figure out if I could CAD the concept and estimate how long rendering would take.
Am I proud of the results? Yes, but I wouldn't do it again. The rush to meet daily deadlines made me realise that good design needs time. In the future, I might stick to sketching for Productober and then take my favourites to the next level of 3D realism.

Tools I used for this challenge:
Pen, Paper, Google Photoscan, Autodesk Inventor, Keyshot, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
Notably, I didn't use AI in any project.
